KEKUASAAN ALLAH DI AKHIR ZAMAN

Abstract


Artikel ini menyelidiki dengan seksama tentang kekuasaan Allah dalam kitab Wahyu, dan bertujuan untuk menjawab pertanyaan tentang kekuasaan Allah di Akhir zaman. Kekuasaan adalah suatu bentuk kesanggupan dalam mewujudkan tujuan tertentu meski banyak tantangan. Kiamat merupakan akhir dari kekuasaan raja-raja di dunia dan awal dari pemerintahan Yesus Kristus di dunia yang sudah jatuh ke dalam dosa. Kuasa penghakiman Tuhan atas orang berdosa belum sepenuhnya dirasakan karena kesabaran Tuhan hal itu ditunda dengan maksud memberikan kesempatan kepada manusia berdosa untuk dapat mengatasi kuasa kegelapan dan menselaraskan tindakan mereka dengan kehiduoan Yesus Kristus. Meskipun nampaknya umat Tuhan akan mengalami kekerasan dan aniaya sebelum kiamat tiba, namun kiamat tetap merupakan jaminan yang kuat atas keberhasilan ‘pekerjaan Yesus Kristus’ dan kesiasiaan ‘pekerjaan Setan’. Wahyu 21:1-8 menyajikan titik balik penting dalam kitab Wahyu, dimana langit baru, bumi baru dan Yerusalem baru diperkenalkan, yang lama telah berlalu, yang baru telah datang.
